Well........

Maybe DejaNews *IS* theft.  After all, they are using copyrighted 
material without the expressed permission of the authors (copyright 
owners,) aren't they?

Has anyone taken them to court, and if so, what was the outcome?

If DejaNews had to pay a licensing fee of say, 2 cents, for every 
message they have gathered, it would add up to a tidy sum............
